Corporate Gifting

How TVG Builds Employee and Corporate Gifting Programs

Tri Versa Global worked with a client that had no consistent approach to employee and client gifting. We built a tiered gifting program with defined budgets, curated gift selections, branded packaging and direct-to-home delivery for remote staff.

Gifting moved from last-minute individual purchases to a planned annual program with predictable cost and consistent presentation.

    Client Overview

A professional services organization with a mix of office-based and remote employees across North America, plus a client list that received gifts at year end and at key relationship milestones.

    The Challenge

Gifting was decentralized. Managers bought gifts independently, budgets were inconsistent, presentation varied widely, and remote employees were frequently overlooked or received their gifts late.

    • No consistent budget per recipient tier
    • Inconsistent gift quality and presentation
    • Remote employees receiving gifts late or not at all
    • Personalization requests handled manually
    • Heavy administrative load on internal staff each December

    Project Requirements

    • Defined gift tiers with fixed per-recipient budgets
    • Curated selections rather than an open catalogue
    • Branded gift packaging with a personalized note card
    • Direct-to-home shipping for remote employees
    • Recurring calendar covering onboarding, milestones and year end

    TVG's Approach

We built the program around recipient tiers first and products second. Each tier received a fixed budget and a curated shortlist, which removed decision fatigue for managers and kept spend predictable for finance.

Recipient data was collected once through a secure list, then reused for every gifting event, which eliminated the annual scramble to rebuild addresses.

    Products & Production

Gift sets combined premium drinkware, apparel, wellness items, food and beverage gifts and desk accessories, presented in branded boxes with tissue, a printed insert and a personalized note card.

    Kitting & Fulfillment

Gift sets were assembled in our facility, personalized where required, and packed for either bulk delivery to offices or individual delivery to home addresses.

    Distribution

Office recipients received consolidated shipments; remote employees received individual parcels delivered to their homes, with a delivery report back to the client's HR team.

    Timeline

    • Weeks 1-2: tier definition, budgets and gift curation
    • Weeks 3-4: samples, packaging design and approvals
    • Weeks 5-8: production and inventory build
    • Weeks 9-10: kitting, personalization and address validation
    • Week 11: delivery to offices and home addresses

    Results

    • Predictable gifting spend against defined tiers
    • Consistent presentation across every recipient
    • Remote employees received gifts in the same window as office staff
    • Internal administrative time reduced to approving a list
    • A repeatable program reused for onboarding and milestone gifting

    What We Learned

Gifting programs fail on data, not on product. The gift itself is rarely the problem; incomplete or stale home addresses are. Collect and validate recipient data weeks before gifts are assembled and the rest of the program becomes routine.

Curated tiers outperform open catalogues. When managers are given three good options at a fixed budget instead of a full catalogue, selection happens quickly and the program stays on budget.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Can TVG ship corporate gifts directly to employees' homes?

Yes. We assemble gifts, personalize them where required and ship individually to home addresses across Canada and the United States, with delivery reporting back to your team.

How do you set a corporate gifting budget?

We define recipient tiers first, assign a per-recipient budget to each tier, then curate gift options that fit that budget so total spend is known before anything is produced.

Can gifts be personalized for each recipient?

Yes. Personalized note cards, name personalization and recipient-specific selections are handled during kitting.

When should a holiday gifting program start?

Start eight to twelve weeks ahead. Recipient data collection and packaging approvals take longer than gift selection, and December shipping capacity tightens quickly.

Can the same program cover employee onboarding gifts?

Yes. The same curated tiers and stored inventory support onboarding kits, milestone gifts and recognition gifts throughout the year.
