How TVG Managed Branded Merchandise Across 75+ Locations
Tri Versa Global worked with a national organization operating more than 75 locations to coordinate the production, packaging and distribution of branded materials across its network. The program consolidated merchandise procurement and distribution through a single partner.
Each location received a pre-packed, location-specific shipment built to a fixed campaign date, with a single point of accountability for artwork, production, packaging, freight and delivery confirmation.
Client Overview
A national service organization with more than 75 branch locations across Canada and the United States, employing several thousand staff. Marketing was managed centrally while each branch operated with its own receiving address, staff count and local schedule.
Before the program, individual branches ordered merchandise independently from local suppliers, which produced inconsistent branding, uneven pricing and no visibility into what had actually been delivered.
The Challenge
The organization needed one coordinated merchandise rollout instead of 75 separate purchases, delivered to every site in time for a fixed campaign launch date.
- 75+ locations with individual delivery addresses
- Different quantities and product mixes per location
- Consistent branding and colour standards across every item
- Centralized production to control cost and quality
- Individually packed, labelled shipments per site
- A firm campaign launch deadline that could not move
Project Requirements
- One consolidated purchase order and one invoice for the head office
- Location-level packing lists so branch managers could verify contents
- Cross-border distribution into both Canada and the United States
- Address verification for every receiving site before shipping
- Delivery tracking and confirmation reporting back to marketing
TVG's Approach
We started with the distribution plan rather than the products. Before production began, we collected and verified every shipping address, receiving contact, delivery hours and per-location quantity into a single distribution matrix. That matrix drove production quantities, packing instructions and carrier selection.
Artwork was standardized once and approved centrally, then applied consistently across every product and decoration method so branding did not drift between suppliers.
Products & Production
The program combined branded apparel, drinkware, bags, signage and printed collateral. Products were selected for durability and for their ability to be decorated consistently across large runs.
Production was consolidated to a small number of vetted suppliers so colour matching, decoration quality and lead times stayed aligned across the full order.
Sourcing
Core items with longer runway were produced offshore for cost efficiency. Time-sensitive and reorder items were produced domestically so the campaign date was protected even if a component slipped.
Kitting & Fulfillment
All goods were received into one facility, quality checked, then kitted into location-specific cartons. Each carton carried a branded label showing the destination site, contents and carton count so branch staff could confirm receipt without contacting head office.
Distribution
Shipments were released in waves by region so that all locations received merchandise within the same delivery window, with customs documentation prepared in advance for United States destinations. Tracking was consolidated into one report for the marketing team.
Timeline
- Weeks 1-2: distribution matrix, address verification and product selection
- Weeks 3-4: artwork approval, samples and pre-production proofs
- Weeks 5-9: production across domestic and offshore suppliers
- Weeks 10-11: receiving, quality check and location-level kitting
- Week 12: staged release and delivery confirmation to all sites
Results
- All 75+ locations received merchandise ahead of the campaign launch date
- Merchandise procurement consolidated from dozens of local vendors to one program
- One purchase order and one invoice replaced per-branch purchasing
- Consistent branding across every location and product category
- Delivery confirmation reporting gave marketing visibility it did not previously have
What We Learned
For programs involving dozens of delivery destinations, packaging and address verification should begin before production finishes rather than after the merchandise arrives. Address errors are the single most common cause of missed launch dates in multi-location rollouts, and they are cheap to fix in week one and expensive to fix in week eleven.
Location-level packing lists reduce support volume dramatically. When a branch can verify its own shipment against a printed list, head office stops fielding calls about missing items.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can promotional products be shipped to multiple locations?
Yes. We regularly split a single production run into individually packed, individually labelled shipments and deliver them to dozens or hundreds of separate addresses, with one consolidated invoice for the client.
Can TVG individually package merchandise by location?
Yes. Each location can receive its own carton with a specific product mix, quantity and packing list, labelled with the destination site name so receiving staff can verify contents immediately.
How long does a multi-location promotional product program take?
A first-time program with production, kitting and distribution to dozens of sites typically runs 8 to 12 weeks. Repeat programs move faster because the distribution matrix and artwork are already approved.
Can TVG handle distribution across Canada and the United States?
Yes. We ship to both countries and prepare customs documentation in advance so cross-border shipments arrive within the same delivery window as domestic ones.
What quantities make centralized fulfillment worthwhile?
Centralized fulfillment usually pays for itself once you have roughly ten or more delivery destinations, or whenever multiple sites need to receive merchandise on the same date.
